Twilight starts out in the perspective of seventeen year old Isabella Swan, "Bella" who has a normal boring life, until she moves to Forks, Washington with her father Charlie. She doesn't expect anything to change because what could happen in a small town where it never stops raining? But she was wrong! As soon as she laid her eyes on Edward Cullen, her life changed completely. He and his brothers and sisters were so beautiful, and she couldn't help staring. At first she tries to avoid Edward, and acts as if he is annoying, but really she is burning inside to get to know him. She later finds out that he is different that he is a vampire! Even though Edward tells her to stay away, she still tries to talk to him in school, and finds any excuse she can to be near him. Their relationship strenghtens, and she finally begins to realize that her life is in danger because of her hanging out with the Cullens. Just one simple game of baseball, (well, it is vampire baseball) She encounters a tracker (James). James instantly becomes obsessed with Bella, and decides to track her. The Cullens try to keep her safe, but since Bella is so stubborn, she decides she will go after him herself. She will do anything to try and save her mother. She meets James in a ballet studio where he attacks her. In the end Edward and the Cullens save her, and Edward and Bella promise to be together forever.
New Moon starts at the Cullen's house on Bella Swan's eightenth birthday. As she opens a gift, the wrapping paper gives her a paper cut. Jasper, the newest vampire to take up the non-human diet leaps at her, and Edward jumps in between them to save her. He later decides to make a heart-wretching desicion to move away and leave Bella because he and his family are too dangerous for her. He lies to her and convinces her that he doesn't love her anymore. This destroys her. She lives her life for months without really living. She is in a "zombie-like" state because she just stayed in the house and didn't socialize. it is only until she goes to the movies to please her father Charlie that something happens. While walking around at night, she sees a group of drunken men. She walks up to them, remembering when Edward saved her from them. As she walks closer, she hears Edward's voice in her head telling her not to do anything stupid. She later discovers that whenever she does anything reckless or stupid she hears his voice subconsciously. When she drives down the street and sees two run-down motocycles, she automatically thinks of her Native-American friend Jacob Black to fix up the bikes. She though that would be the perfect stupid thing to do to hear Edward's voice again. She starts to get a life back while hanging out with Jake and doing dangerous things. Victoria comes back to Forks avenging her mate James things are only getting more dangerous for Bella, but she doesn't care. She is fed up and wants to do something so reckless and stupid to hear his voice for days. She jumps off a cliff, into a river because Jake said he would take her cliff diving. Victoria is in the river, and she almost drowns, but Jake saved her, because he is now a werewolf! Alice Cullen sees her jump off the cliff in a vision and thinks she is dead. She contacts Edward who is heart-broken. He rushes to Italy to the Volturi to be killed. But Alice and Bella fly to Italy and save him. Edward promises to never leave her again and to always look after her especially because of Victoria. So the Cullens move back in and order is restored.
Eclipse starts out with a mysterious string of murders in Seattle. Edward thinks that these are newborn vampire attacks. This makes Charlie very careful about where Bella goes. Edward and Bella fill out college applications and Bella is making plans on when she will become a vampire. Jacob Black, Bella's werewolf friend, becomes a major role in this novel as Bella starts to hang around with him. It is only until one day when she visits him when he tells her that he loves her and forcefully kisses her. She is not pleased and punched him, but because he's a werewolf, she breaks her hand. Then, they have and on-and-off friendship throughout the book. When Bella claims a few days later that she "wants Edward" Edward proposes to her, and says that he will turn her into a vampire if she agrees to marry him first. The band of new born vampires are lead by Victoria, and they are coming closer. However, the Cullens and the Wolf Pack have a plan. They will all come together and fight the vampires to make Bella and everyone else safe. In the end, the Cullens and Wolf Pack have no casualties, and Victoria and her gang is defeated. Jake is furious about Bella's desicion to become a vampire, so he runs off. But Bella is so happy to be with Edward, which will soon be forever.
The first part of breaking Dawn portraits Bella’s marriage and life with Edward, which they spend on a private island and in the due course Bella becomes pregnant. They both return home once they confirm that she was pregnant. Though they were in trouble, Bella wanted to keep the Kid.
The second part of breaking dawn book is in Jacob’s point of view. Werewolves were behind Bella’s Kid and they wanted to kill the kid. To do so, they would even kill Bella – Jacob disagrees to this decision. In the meanwhile Bella gives birth to her cross breed kid and loses huge amount of blood. To save Bella’s life, Edward changes her to a vampire.
The third part of Breaking Dawn is again in Bella’s perspective – The kid Bella gave birth was found to be immortal and it was supposed that immortal kids brought ill luck to the vampire kingdom. All vampires try to kill Bella’s vampire-human kid. In the attempt to save the kid from danger, they find out that immortal kids possess no threat to vampires and it was just a wrong information. Finally Bella and Edward with his kid are left free and they live happily for ever.
